is a stud farm with 25 ha of land situated in the beautiful region of Mayenne. The Mayenne, located southwest of Paris, is characterized by lovely, rolling countryside with many castles and beautiful hedged fields. The climate is mild, horses and cows are usually outside summer and winter. It is a region with many stud farms and horse racing tracks.
Haras de la Geneteuse is located on the D125 between Vaiges and the medieval town of Saint Suzanne, 15 miles from Laval and easily accessible via the A81.
We breed dressage horses and Limousin cows.Quality rather than quantity is our priority, and so we intend to remain small. We also breed cattle as find it beneficial to graze horses on land previously grazed by cattle.
In the breeding of dressage horses at the highest level we have sought the best bloodlines from all over Europe. Sires include Gribaldi, Painted Black, His Highness and Don Schufro. Our six mares come from the top blood lines of Holland. We believe in an international breeding and we do not ask fantasy prices for our products. We speak English, French, Dutch and German, visitors are always welcome.
